I already have a dog, but he's been wanting one for a while. So we decided to start researching new dogs and find one that he would like. I am so excited! I love puppies, and dogs.

We finally settled on breed, the Newfoundland. They are huge dogs, which makes Brett feel even more like a man. I contacted a breeder who is expecting puppies in May. So, we'll see how things go, but looks like we will be getting him in July! I'm soooooo excited.

I'll try to keep everyone up dated with pictures!

Two Random Thoughts:

It's been raining a lot in California, which is rare! I love the rain. I love wearing sweaters and curling up in bed with a good book. I actually got to do that last night. I ditched my Evidence class (which is pure torture) and went home early. It started raining on my drive home. So, instead of turning on the TV, I got my book (the one I've been trying to finish since Christmas) and started reading. The only problem was that it made me miss Brett. There is nothing better than cuddling near a fire, with the man you love! But, there was no Brett, so my book had to be the next best thing! All-in-all, it was a good night!

Now....the next day is a different story! The day could have started good...with my Civil Procedure class being cancelled, but I still have to go to my other classes. I have the worst case of Senioritise that ever existed. I just want to be finished with school. The thought of 5 more weeks, plus finals is killing me. I know I can make it through, but it's going to be an up hill battle!

I need a break so badly! That is why I have officially decided to wait on taking the bar and will try for the February bar. I really hope that 2 months off will help rejuvinate my brain, because studying for the bar is a major task. Everyone I've talked to says that you need to study, at least 2 months prior, 6 days a weeks, for 12-14 hours a day. That, my friends, is more work than a full time job! The other problem is that most people dont pass their first time. In fact, in CA the passage rate is 34%. That makes studying even more important because I just want to get done and never have to study this stuff again in my life!

So, that's all the random ramblings of my life! I will buckle down and study, but not willingly! I'll be in San Fransisco this weekend for a Real Estate Expo! Hopefully it will be fun and informative!

MY LIFE!

So, let me catch ya'll up!

Roughly 2 1/2 years ago I, at the last minute, decided to apply to law school. Most law school start their program in the fall, but there was one, very small, law school in orange county that allowed students to start in January. I applied, after attending an open house, and was accepted within 3 weeks of applying. Shortly thereafter, in January 2004, I began this looooooong journey to see my dreams come true. It's been an amazing experience! Now, in about 6 weeks, I'll be graduating from Law School! I can hardly believe it. Due to the other changes in my life, I'll be postponing the bar until February 2007...I hope the extra time will help!

A little later in 2004 I met Brett, the man of my dreams! Our love story is long and crazy, so I'll spare you all the details! However, we spent many months chatting online, emailing, writing, talking and getting to know each other. He was a big distraction from school, but also a very welcomed distraction.

Brett is currently an officer in the US Army, he's an Apache Pilot! He is very dedicated to his job and loves to fly. He also has several other major accomplishments in his life, ones that he doesn't like me to brag about....but let's just say, he's a 2x Olympian (I'm sure if you were to visit our house and go into our guest room, the walls would also give him away, so I guess I'm safe!). I have never met a man that is so completely supportive of me and my dreams. He is absolutely an amazing man and I truly feel like the luckiest girl in the world!

In March 2005, Brett and I went to Italy. We spent a couple of days in Venice and a couple of days in Rome. It was a great time and helped us fall in love. Through the distance we continued to truly get to know one another and fall head over heels in love. In October, Brett propsed and the rest is history.

So, that leads to now! I am 7 weeks away from being done with finals, 9 weeks away from graduating from law school and 10 weeks away from getting married and moving to Texas! Life is crazy, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

All the Guys!

Me and Big Al

Mike Snowden!

Brett and Aaron
Texas!

So, this past weekend, Brett flew me out to see him. I guess he was really missing me and since we both had a free weekend we decided to take advantage of it! It was great to just hang out and relax, with no agenda. It was also a great weekend without any wedding planning!

Friday night he made me a great dinner. We just stayed home, relaxed and enjoyed being together for once. On Saturday we had a BBQ at the house and invited some of Brett's friends over for some free food and beer. Later that night we all went to the local cowboy bar and had some beers and played some pool!

Before I knew it the weekend was over and it was time to head back to reality! It's always so hard to leave him. But in 3 short weeks, I'll be back in Texas and this time for a week! Here are a couple of pictures from the BBQ!

Welcome to the Madness!

Welcome to the Madness!

So, I have to admit, I've been one of those people who comes on here and reads everyone else's blogs, but never started my own. An old friend of my from high school, Anne, told me that I really should start one...so since I read hers on a daily basis, I figured, I better return the favor and let her read mine!

The other reason I decided to start this is because I'm hoping to be able to use this as a tool to keep in touch with all my friends. So, this is dedicated to keeping the special people in my life updated!

So, I will slowly update everyone on the madness that has become my life....for now the timeline looks like this.

March 6 Last midterm I will ever take in my life.

May 6 Last Final I will ever take in my life.

May 20 Graduation from Law School

May 27 Wedding Day!

May 28 Move to Texas

July 25-27 Take the California State Bar Exam

Wish me good luck...I think I have officially lost my mind.
